Job Description:

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Application Tooling team has an established history of innovation, from the invention of the first solderless crimp hand tool in 1941 through the launch of automated machines that support high-volume cable termination needs. Our flexible solutions range from hand tools for prototyping and low production needs to advanced equipment that supports demanding customers and manufacturing requirements.
The Application Tooling organization is seeking an Engineering Supervisor / Local Site Leader to provide leadership and daily execution support for the Morocco engineering team. This position will serve as the primary supervisor for assigned direct reports while partnering closely with the U.S. functional engineering manager & site leadership to provide support for all site employees.
In this role, you will help translate functional priorities into clear execution, support employee engagement and coaching, remove site-level roadblocks, and ensure local processes such as onboarding, attendance administration, workspace readiness, EHS coordination, lab expectations, and contractor logistics are handled effectively.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong leadership presence, sound judgment, execution discipline, and the ability to build trust across local and global teams. The candidate should be comfortable working in a matrixed environment where local people leadership and functional engineering direction must stay aligned.

Job Requirements

•    Translate functional priorities into local execution: Partner with the global functional engineering managers to ensure technical direction, work priorities, project assignments, and expectations are clearly understood, coordinated, and executed locally.
•    Drive execution follow-up and workload visibility: Track progress, identify risks, surface resource constraints, remove local barriers, and escalate capacity concerns or tradeoff decisions as needed.
•    Administer local site processes and onboarding: Manage local attendance practices, holidays, site expectations, onboarding, workspace readiness, and integration for new team members and contractors.
•    Coordinate contractor, EHS, lab, and compliance needs: Serve as the local interface for contractor logistics. Partner with EHS, site leadership, and support functions to ensure site, lab, and compliance expectations are met.
•    Act as the first point of local escalation: Respond to local issues & escalate functional, technical, or content-related topics to the appropriate U.S. functional owner.
•    Build strong local and global alignment: Maintain effective communication across local leadership, support teams, HR, EHS, and functional engineering leadership to ensure local needs and global priorities remain aligned.

What your background should look like

•    5 to 8 years experience in Engineering (Process, Product, Manufacturing, or related fields)
•    Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating engineering or technical teams in a matrixed organization.
•    Demonstrated ability to translate functional priorities into clear local execution plans and follow-up routines.
•    Strong coaching, communication, stakeholder management, and issue-escalation skills.
•    Experience working across global teams, remote functional leadership, and local site organizations.
•    Working knowledge of engineering processes, project execution, technical documentation, lab practices, or application tooling support.
