Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Quality Management: Take ownership of the plant quality assurance management process and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards.

•    Quality Management System: Apply, maintain, quality management system aligned with IATF 16949 and customer requirements according TE Connectivity BOS.

•    Customer Expectations: Leading customer communication and coordination with cross-functional teams for all quality related topics to meet customer and management expectations. 

•    Quality Objectives: ensure plant quality objectives and customer requirements acc. Automotive standards.

•    Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations, and guide employees to work safely and sustainably.

•    Shipment Control: Autonomy decision for shipment of produced product according TE Connectivity standards, IATF requirements to meet customer and management expectation.

•    Quality Assurance Organization: Manage the local quality assurance team, set up quality assurance organization according operation business plan 

•    Reporting: Ensure complaint handling according to Automotive Standards, 8D reporting in TECHST. Prepare monthly quality follow up reporting presentation sharing performance progress and action plan follow up. 

•    Continuous Improvement: Pro-actively improvement of quality key performance indicator,  Regular reporting and review of quality key performance indicators, handle critical quality issues and escalations, and support new product ramp-ups.

What your background should look like:

- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the automotive industry
- Significant experience in various quality and operational assignments
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience
- Operational Skills & Tools:
  - Core Tools
  - IATF 16949 requirements
  - VDA 6.3 internal auditor certification
  - Product Safety & Conformity Representative (PSCR)
  - Customer Portal Management
