Job Overview

The Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer Performs technical tasks including research, development and the improvement of manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, ensure safety and minimize the excessive use of resources.

Job Requirements

  • Support Product Engineering to optimize Design for manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Configuration of the best possible equipment, tool and/or processes with cost calculation to support managerial decision
  • Lead the PFMEA for process under development
  • Master problem resolving methods with analytical mindset
  • Support introduction of new product (documents, change management and production release)
  • Follow up of cost, timing and quality in NPI or strategic projects
  • Control of progress steps during tool / equipment build phase (global supply base)
  • Provide samples and measurement report to PE for evaluation, perform capability studies (Cp, Cpk, SPC, ….)
  • Check of tool / equipment for release acc. Specification
  • Run Acceptance test (at supplier / plant) of the equipment for release acc

What your background should look like

  • Hold an engineering degree ( Bac+5) with a specialization in Automation, Industrial, or mechanical Engineering
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of assembly technology (Mechanical Design / Automation / PLC programming / Test programming)
  • Experience in manufacturing filed, 2-4 years
  • Knowledge of molding or stamping is a plus
  • Extensive understanding of LEAN manufacturing processes
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Customer orientation and high level of commitment
  • Willingness to drive continuous improvements
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with a multicultural team
  • Strategic thinking-Presentation skills
