SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ANALYST
Job Overview
Tasks and Responsibilities
IQE part:
• On time responsiveness and analysis to customer complaints.
• Organize and drive containment actions at customer, supplier or within TE plants.
• Work out 8D reports, perform root cause analysis and create charge back.
• Evaluation and validation of 8D reports submitted from suppliers.
• Read across and deploy lessons learned to prevent reoccurrence.
SQE part:
• Review of customer and internal complaints related to suppliers’ product/process, verification of corrective, preventive actions and lessons learned.
• Definition, training, deployment, and progress tracking for implementation of continuous improvement activities for dedicated suppliers (TPM, 5S+1, OPLetc).
• Coordinates supplier production process release in liaison with Product, Transfer, and APQP Engineering departments.
• Regular quarterly supplier’s performance and scorecard review.
• Drive the 0-defect approach at supplier side.
• Ensure the development and onboarding of suppliers and new suppliers in accordance with TE requirements.
Performance:
IQE part:
• Communication across departments and locations within TE Automotive.
• Perform 5 WHY, Ishikawa analysis.
• Obtain reasonable analysis of root cause from supplier, verify, validate.
• Direct contact with supplier and customer representatives.
SQE part:
• Participation on audits at supplier’s location according to VDA, ISO TS and TE relevant specification.
• Communication across departments and locations within TE Automotive.
• Direct contact with supplier and customer representatives.
• Review production processes at supplier (R@R, SLP).
• Travelling relevant to business needs.
• Regular reporting, data collection and analysis.
HS&E, Working Conditions:
• Follow the legislation and internal policies in EHS and environmental protection.
• Follow the instruction for wearing of personal protective equipment - safety shoes, safety glasses and other depending on their working activities.
• Follow the restriction of removal of safety screen and other safety elements of machines and equipment.
• Follow the rules for sorting waste, proper handling and storage of chemical substances and preparations.
What your background should look like:
- Engineering Degree (or equivalent qualification).
- 2-3 years of experience in the automotive industry or a similar sector.
- Experience in quality assurance and supplier development is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with injection molding and assembly processes is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
- Hands-on experience with quality-related problem-solving and analytical tools, including 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys.
- Proficient in flow charting, FMEA, and control plan methodologies.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, plan effectively, and align with business goals and sustainability initiatives.
