PRODUCTION MACHINIST III -WIRE EDM OPERATOR

OVERVIEW:

 

Responsible for the fabrication of Die and Mold tooling parts. Individuals must have high skills in WEDM and knowledge to be able to instruct low level operator.

To ensure smooth operations, the ability to implement 5S and improve QCD is required.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Read, model and edit CAD data using Creo.
  2. Operate Hole EDM to machine the start hole with proper machining conditions.
  3. Can modify NC data (understand G cord and M cord)
  4. Choose the best part fixation method.
  5. Parallelism of parts can be obtained.
  6. Can exchange work of wire electrodes. (Including exchange work of diamond dies)
  7. Can check the consumption of the contact that touches the wire electrode and supplies power.
  8. A wire electrode can be set to the automatic wire feeder.
  9. Wire electrodes can be set vertically.
  10. Understand machine specifications, part names and functions.
  11. Understand the names and functions of each part of the operation panel.
  12. Can perform basic operations.
  13. Can exchange work the wire guide unit or perform other maintenance.
  14. Understand the inspection items for daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.
  15. Knowledge of consumables.
  16. Understand how to replace consumables.
  17. Understand how to recover after an abnormal stop.
  18. Understand the composition of processing conditions.
  19. Understand processing property data.
  20. Understand the difference in processing methods depending on the shape. (stepped shape, etc.)
  21. Knowledge the characteristics of each metal material.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience and practitioner in the Profile Grinding
  • CAD Knowledge Must,Creo knowledge
  • Stamping and Molding tool knowledge.
  • Basic Computers, MS Office etc, SAP knowledge added advantage
  • Tool Room Process’s, Tooling Knowledge,
