Job Overview

DDN - An Equipment Technician's job involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. The role often requires knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, electrical and electronic components, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and adherence to safety protocols. 

Job Requirements

  • Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including PM schedules, downtime reports, and spare parts inventory.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and alignment of new equipment.
  • Connect cables, wires, and components as required during setup and repair.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, machine manuals, and technical documentation for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and workplace regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve system reliability

What your background should look like

  • Graduate of at least a 2-year Technology or Technical Vocational course in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
  • Familiarity with CCD-based visual inspection systems.
  • Strong knowledge in PLC programming, vision systems, basic electronics/electrical, automation, and robotics.
  • Proficient in using computers and communication tools (e.g., MS Office, email).
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and professional behavior in the workplace.
