MAINTENANCE MECHANIC III - Electronics

OVERVIEW:

The position is to Maintain & supervise the Special Purpose Electrical /Electronic equipment’s. he is also responsible for execution of controls functions of new and retrofitted medium to large sized industrial automation machines. Responsible for Programming of PLCs, robots and servos for the automation machines.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-ordinate for new machines / equipment’s procurement along with ME or automation team
  • Co-ordinate with Automation team to execute projects.
  • Train and guide trainees on Machine panel wiring, selection of components, Panel Layout planning.
  • PLC Programming of new equipment, Modifications/ improvements in existing equipment’s.
  • Machine safety systems improvements.
  • Generate electrical circuits in Elecworks.
  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
  • Coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
  • Authorised for LOTO & Removal of Machine Guarding and working beyond machine guards.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Diploma (ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS)
  • Min 5+ years’ experience  in maintenance
  • Knowledge in PLC PROGRAMMING, Electrical circuit Design
  • SERVO

The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.
