CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ANALYST III
JOB SUMMARY
TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Has strong impact in Manufacturing Technology Development Roadmap driven development projects.
- Drives for excellence in Stamping, Plating, Molding, and measuring systems technologies and methods.
- Strives to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved processes and tolerance control.
- Applies broad knowledge of lean-sigma methodologies to resolve problems of diverse scope and complexity requiring analysis/evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
- Identifies specific needs or requirements and exercises discretion, independent judgment, and knowledge of theory and principles to meet those needs.
- Adapts, enhances, and/or improves quality or value in existing methods within role.
- Initiates and implements programs to continuously improve capability and cost.
- Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Works under general direction and delivers results that directly impact the achievement of department objectives.
- Leads projects or project steps within broader project teams, e.g. tooling capability to produce lead frames with sub-micron tolerances, measuring system capability for sub-micron molded parts warpage.
- Participates in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Provide training and mentorship to other employees, often providing input to performance evaluations.
- Provides input to objectives and goals of the subfunction or business unit.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering or related) required, Master’s preferred.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of data analytics tools. e.g. Minitab, JMP, PowerBI.
- Thorough knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.
- Tight tolerance electrical connector experience is a plus!
- Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
- Broad knowledge of stamping, plating, molding, and assembly processes for connectors and sockets is desired.
- Practical application of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, & Outlook).
- General project management skill and experience – Ability to work on several projects at once.
- Based in Batangas, Philippines and willingness to travel up to 25% average.
