Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

What You'll Be Doing...

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you are responsible for;

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment failures
  • Discuss technical data with engineers, other maintenance technicians, and manufacturing personnel as required
  • Work with engineering and other maintenance crew to modify and/or improve existing machinery to enhance its operation
  • Fabricate and assemble parts into completed units, using jigs, fixtures, hand and power tools
  • Help with rigging of equipment
  • Operate forklifts, man-lifts, and other powered vehicles
  • Generate schematics, drawings, and process
  • Initiate purchase requests for parts and supplies

What your background should look like:

•    Completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program or a minimum of 1-3 years of verifiable experience as a skilled machinist
•    AA Degree or equivalent with minimum 2 years of experience
•    Ability to read ladder logic and make changes to programs in PLC
•    Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, models or other visual aids.
•    Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
