Supply Chain Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Job Responsibilities

Drive organizational transformations towards end-to-end supply chain responsibilities

Identify performance issues and drive performance improvements with the team in order to reach agreed targets

Ensure appropriate parameter settings, system setup and system usage

Monitor plant load, identify capacity shortages and drive capacity extension proactively to prevent gaps in supply vs demand

Develops, implements, and monitors comprehensive inventory controls, and shipping and receiving policies

Develops inventory management programs in coordination with procurement for existing and new vendor base to minimize raw material inventory levels.

Support the effective development and introduction of new products to ensure project timelines and budgets are met and the inventory impacts are managed without adverse impacts to turns or generate obsolete or excess inventory.

Utilizes MRP and other available software tools for planning, control and tracking of raw materials and purchased product.

Drive process improvement to support warehouse inventory accuracy and a defined cadence for stock counting and reconciliation

Optimize material replenishment and flow processes to streamline picking and delivering for material to production floor, with the goal of eliminating waste and ensuring consistent production

Play key role in the S&OP process to ensure clear visibility of risk and opportunities, and take necessary proactive actions to close gaps to ensure budget is met

Lead the MPS function to optimize the master production schedule, with the goal of supporting customer demand, optimizing work center utilization, and balancing inventory in alignment with targets

Lead the materials planning and scheduling department, ensuring tactical execution of the MPS plan

Proactively approach other functions, within demand management, customer service and supply chain partners for end-to-end optimization

What your background should look like:

Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain optimization and planning in comparable environment, close to manufacturing operations

Demonstrated results in organizational transformation, team leadership and team development

Demonstrated results driving supply chain improvements and measurable key performance improvement results

Comprehensive supply chain planning experience (Capacity planning, supply planning, master production scheduling)

Working experience with supply chain planning systems and ERP systems (e. g. SAP)

Strong knowledge of supply chain and strong manufacturing background (molding and assembly operations), as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Power Point).

Strong leadership and communication skills, including presentations, able to give direction in cross-functional environment, able to motivate and support and influence colleagues in other functional areas.  Fluent in English – reading, writing, and speaking.

Ability to work in a matrix organization- driving results locally and achieving and answering for contribution to overall business unit and corporate goals.

Committed, entrepreneurial, proactive working attitude (driver for change )

Strong analytical, detailed oriented, financial, and strategic thinking skills.

Culturally sensitive in operational working environment. Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff.

Lean Material Replenishment and Flow experience/ Lean Certification and Six Sigma Training or Certification.

APICS CPIM and SIOP Certification a plus.
