Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. They communicate supply risk and labor requirements to the Operations team and control the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

What your background should look like:

As a Master Scheduler, you are responsible for;
•    Plans production schedules for the assigned Value Streams. 
•    Generate and review plant capacity data.
•    Working closely with cross-functional leads, identify, plan and resolve inconsistencies and gaps between demand and supply.
•    Communication and coordination with Operations teams. Coordinate efficiency improvement opportunities (e.g. optimal sequencing, primary routings) and gaps in capacity based on current shift structure to allow time for shift adjustments necessary to meet demand.
•    Coordinates and communicates production requirements within the respective Value Stream. 
•    Level-loading of supply plans to ensure timely stock availability along with balanced press requirements.
•    Detailed Capacity Planning. Involved with S&OP data to ensure accuracy for forecasting.
•    Providing financial commitments based on the current demand picture and available resources.
•    Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities related to production planning, customer service and inventory management.
•    Review MRP data integrity for assigned work centers and materials.
•    Manage and recommend inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels, along with ensuring customer reliability and meeting target inventory turns. 

•    BS Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business, Logistics or related field.
•    At least 3 years of scheduling operations in a manufacturing environment.
•    APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred
•    Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint  required. 
•    Strong Knowledge and Experience of MRP/ERP Systems. SAP preferred.
•    Excellent collaboration skills required.  Able to effectively interface at all levels of the organization.
•    Knowledge of processes and technologies related to products manufactured within a given value stream.
•    Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean implementation a plus

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $80,000 – $95,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
