Job Overview

 

Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (TEOA) is a company-wide program aimed at improving our business performance by applying best practice improvement tools to become more efficient and effective so that we can be more productive, satisfy our customers and deliver more value to our shareholders.
 
Responsible for developing and deploying TEOA throughout the Site to drive flawless execution with TEOA tools and methods that are flexible, reliable, and responsive.
 
Implements under the direction of the Site Leader with process direction from the NA TEOA System Design Team.  The TEOA system ensures a safe work environment, drives quality improvements, provides premier customer service, develops a qualified workforce, and reduces operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvement in the site systems. Partners with the Site Leader to oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual operational and financial expectations.


Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead and champion the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Align continuous improvement efforts with organizational goals, ensuring measurable impact on operational performance.
  • Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for improvement projects, ensuring alignment with broader business strategy.

 

Process Optimization:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying, analyzing, and improving key business processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies.
  • Conduct process mapping, value stream analysis, and root cause analysis to drive improvements.
  • Standardize best practices across departments to eliminate waste and inefficiencies, ensuring consistency and scalability.

 

Training & Development:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to build internal capability in Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement techniques.
  • Mentor and coach employees at all levels in process improvement techniques, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving.
  • Identify and develop talent for future leadership roles within the continuous improvement function.

 

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data and key metrics to monitor process performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Implement systems for continuous measurement and feedback to track improvements and sustain gains over time.

 

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution within scope, time, and budget.
  • Work closely with project teams to define objectives, allocate resources, and remove obstacles to project success.
  • Drive accountability and ensure timely completion of improvement projects with quantifiable results.
     

What your background should look like:

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Must be certified TEOA Practitioner or willing to acquire within the first year
  • 5+ years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or engineering and financial knowledge.
  • At least 5 years experience in leading continuous improvement activities at a site level.
  • Highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change
  • Strong planning/organization & time management skills
  • Track record of successful project management
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and local language.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management (Strong team leader)
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically (i.e. deliver results)
  • Analytically minded and data-driven. The candidate must also have a holistic overview of complex situations and deal effectively with difficult issues when they arise.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus
  • Experience in the plastic injection and automation is a plus, but not a prerequisite.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $114,000 - 169,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
