Senior plant analyst

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN:

Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive organizational success through the development and execution of financial strategies. Key responsibilities include managing a team of operational financial analysts/plant controllers, consolidation and analysis of actual results/forecasts/budgets, conducting monthly plant reviews, product/conversion/material productivity analysis, driving freight/inventory reductions, and supporting capital investments. The position also requires coordination with the regional/global BU supply chain team.

 

 

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

  • Budget and Forecast Preparation: Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts for costs and recoveries related to the Trutnov site to support timely decision-making and foster strong business partnerships aimed at driving productivity.
  • Variance and Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide comprehensive analysis of variances and conduct ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Cost Center Control: Oversee cost center accounting and ensure effective cost center management.
  • Support Annual Recosting Activities: Assist in the execution of annual recosting processes.
  • Business Unit Support: Provide support to business units in areas of shared competencies.
  • Inventory Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of inventory-related data.
  • Capital Expenditure Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of capital expenditures (CapEx).
  • Margin Analysis: Analyze margins to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monthly Financial Close: Participate in the monthly financial close process, including accrual calculations.
  • Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports for headquarters, local management, and audit requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting. Focus on automating reporting and analysis processes by leveraging the internal data warehouse and other systems.
  • Special Projects and Ad Hoc Support: Assist with special projects, ad hoc reports, and analyses, including support for Business Development teams.

 

YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND:

  • Degree in finance, accounting or economics
  • 3+ years of work experience in Controlling and/or Financial Planning, preferably in an international and manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A high degree of initiative, hands on mentality and continuous improvement mindset
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credible relationships cooperating teams
  • Team player, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), Hyperion, SAP and data warehouse solutions
  • Fluent in English and Czech (verbally and written), additional language as an advantage
