Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
What your background should look like:

Job Overview 
Currently we are looking for a Regional Commodity Manager in our business unit Industrial at TE Connectivity. The right candidate will have the responsibility for developing and deploying regional sourcing strategies for the relevant commodities, with the goal to reach the respective sourcing targets in productivity, cost, delivery, and quality. This responsibility includes but are not limited to supplier negotiations, contract management, supplier capacity / risk management, supplier compliance and cost-savings project management in cross-functional teamwork.
 
Responsibilities
Develop and deploy supplier sourcing strategy with strong consideration of customer needs and production footprint, incl. “make or buy”-analysis
Accountable for relevant procurement KPI’s, incl. material productivity, lead time performance, on-time delivery, and quality
Drive annual RFQs and benchmarking and develop low-cost country suppliers 
Lead supplier negotiation to drive material productivity
Drive cost-saving ideas and lead / support cross-functional teamwork for implementation 
Responsible for maintaining 125% material pipelines
MOQ optimization and inventory reductions, e. g. VMI, EDI, consignment, Scheduling Agreements frame order review, blanket PO
Negotiation contracts with suppliers, incl. bailment, inventory management and supply agreements.  
Market analysis and industry trend in the responsible commodity
Conduct risk management: capabilities and capacities of suppliers 
Supplier relationship management and responsible for conducting QBR’s with strategic suppliers
Participate in Supplier Audits, Supplier Development programs together with TE Auditors and SQD
Ensure that all suppliers meet TE requirements for compliance (RoHs, Reach, conflict minerals, supplier portal usage) 
Support NPI team to identify new suppliers
Support tactical buyers with supplier-related escalations, e.g. blocked invoices, delivery lates
Cross-functional and cross-regional team work and support
Drive / support TEOA activities 
Support insourcing activities lead by operations and participate in supplier quality audits

Expectations and qualifications

Bachelor in Economics or Business Administration or engineering or equivalent, master degree preferred
5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and commodity management experience, experience in relevant commodity preferred
Proven track record in strong negotiation skills 
Strong problem-solving skills in complex assignments
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player 
High flexibility and able to multi-task and change priorities in a changing environment
Customer-oriented mind 
Strong verbal and written communication & presentation skills
Strong project management skills  
Demonstration of cultural awareness to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
Fluent English at negotiation level, other language is a plus
Ability to travel and work in a virtual environment

Locations 
This role is based preferably in Bydgoszcz, Poland or Trutnov, Czech.
