Job Overview

This Project Manager roles will be based in Trutnov, Czech Republic and reporting to a manager located in Austria.

 As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving product development and sustaining initiatives, working closely with cross‑functional teams across TE Connectivity. You will collaborate with colleagues in Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer and business expectations.

This role involves close cooperation with our Austrian site, including regular travel, and offers the opportunity to influence projects from early concept through to successful implementation.

Responsibilities

Provide end‑to‑end leadership for Sustaining and Product Expansion (including NPI) projects, overseeing 5-10 initiatives simultaneously

Lead the technical execution of development projects — from initial idea through final project closure

Define, maintain, and communicate project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timing targets

Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, driving solutions in collaboration with management

Coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes that meet customer, financial, and operational expectations

Apply Lean Product Development (LeanPD) principles and project governance standards throughout the project lifecycle

Typical projects include material changes for existing products as well as selected new product introduction (NPI) initiatives

What your background should look like

• Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering or similar technical field 
• minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Management preferred 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• Project Management Certification desirable, PMP (or CAPM) preferred 
• Ability to run multiple projects at the same time 
• Good command in verbal and written English and Czech language (German is an advantage)
• Ideal candidate is proactive, resilient, and self-confident. 
• Intercultural competence and strong problem-solving skills
