Job Overview

The Advanced Quality Engineer (AQE) has the lead role for quality planning and for providing quality deliverables related to multiple projects.  The AQE will serve on several cross functional teams created to develop, test and formally release new product designs and processes.  The AQE represents both TE and Customer interests during product development process including risk assessment and mitigation for design and manufacturing quality issues. AQEs will lead ongoing manufacturing quality initiatives to improve quality, improve customer satisfaction and/or reduce and optimise process or material costs.




- interact with cross functional team members to plan product development activities in support of project requirements and customer needs 
- participate in all activities impacting customer requirements including PRD (Product Requirements) Reviews, DFMEA, Design Reviews, and Design for Manufacturing Reviews 
- take a hands on personally committed approach to the Quality feedback loop loop including resolving customer complaints and plant issues plus line concerns 
- participate in development of PFMEA.  Responsible for development of Control Plans/Inspection Plans, First Article Inspection and Capability Study planning and acceptance for new or revised tooling, PPAP or other customer required documentation. Create, and Safe Launch plans to help ensure that all production risks are addressed throughout the Project lifecycle 
- support all activities relating to the refinement/improvement and creation of process from a quality perspective 
- management of internal and external suppliers from a quality perspective 
- perform failure analysis using 8D format to clearly define the problems, scope, root cause and corrective actions 
- interface with supplier quality engineering as needed to coordinate actions related to supplier process design, inspection and non-conforming materials 
- employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in local and global policies and handbooks  

What your background should look like:

- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in the manufacturing quality or equivalent combination of education 
and experience
- ability to develop, mentor and lead a team
- product and process qualification through FAI, PPAP, APQP 
- control Plan / QIP (Quality Inspection Plan) 
- FMEA familiarity 
- problem Solving using 8D methodology, 3-legged 5-Why, Is-Is Not, Ishikawa Diagrams, 
Fault Tree and similar evaluation tools 
- ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and tolerancing (GD&T)  
- understand Design for Six Sigma, LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN business processes 
- Chezch and English languages (both written and verbal)
- knowledge of Quality System Methodologies is essential
