Junior Freight Analyst

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

  • Analyze Freight Audit and Payment report for Industrial Business Unit.
  • Report and analyze freight invoices received via Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) process focusing on high freight spend amount in relation to, weight/Volume and mode of transport (Air, Ocean, Road);
  • Investigate together with the FAP team freight invoices received from carrier and validate if the invoice amount is correctly allocated to the IND Business Unit.
  • Together with the FAP team look to improve the freight allocation process to drive greater accuracy to freight invoices received.
  • Report out on monthly basis corrections made to the freight invoices.
  • Track progress on improvement actions. Monitor progress with project members and drive/escalate if actions are not followed up correctly. 
  • Look for opportunities to reduce freight & distribution center spend, while balancing Extraordinary Customer Experience within EMEA.
  • Participate in logistics project on behalf Industrial BU to drive logistic KPI improvement.
  • Partner with Global logistics team (GLOG) to support Freight and Distribution Key performance indicators.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent (Logistics)
  • 1 to 2 year experience on International logistics role
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good English communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and continuous improvement thinking
  • Drive for results
  • High attention to detail
