Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Logistics Demand Management Teams develop, integrate and provide short-term accounts or brand specific forecasts for internal operations which include replenishment data, customer data, sales promotion information, marketing plans and new distribution/product deletions. They are responsible for facilitating, managing and executing strategic directions related to plant performance, customer demand agreements, supply chain improvements, revenue forecasting and overall improvement in delivery metrics globally. They assist in the improvement of demand system forecasting accuracy for customers. The Demand Management Teams maintain and manage product history, forecasts and promotional demand. They analyze internal demand stream information, and categorizes according to demand patterns. They also may input sales/marketing intelligence for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly Sales and Operations planning process by ensuring accurate data flow from the broader ecosystem to IBP Demand, sustain and improve associated processes and support all demand planners and analysts within the SI&OP org 
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Master Data management, Pricing, TEIS and all respective functions  to understand data issues, process gaps 
  • Define historical data cleanup models / logic to ensure clean data input to statistical / deep learning forecast process run.
  • Monitor end to end data flow ecosystem to ensure accurate data feed to IBP Demand from SAP, TED and other respective data universes
  • Focuses on demand planning master data preparation, gap reports and data validation w/ pricing and other key indicator functional owners 
  • Continuous training to Sales and Product Management on tools and data to assist them in providing clarity on data and process .
  • Supports the monthly Pre-Demand and global Demand Review meetings with accurate data, or clear understanding on the gaps / issues that are preventing accurate data feed to the process
  • Develops interim / permanent solution to ensure data integrity for Demand and Supply Planning  
  • Identifies and owns process improvement and integration projects associated to Demand Planning, Supply planning and when needed other aspects of broader SI&OP 
  • Process integration activities for the overall IBP Suite and SAP, including Evolve support, the migration to S4 Hana, and all ongoing/upcoming IBP Suite integrations 
  • Work with the Demand Manager, Planners, Analysts, SIOP Director and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement on processes and tools for collecting and predicting demand.

 

Background and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in economics, supply chain management or related field
  • Employment experience: 10+ years
  • Demand Planning / Customer Service / Supply Chain experience 5+ years
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex data structures 
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP R3 / S4
  • Experience with forecast / analytical tools a plus (IBP, SFDC, TED Webi, Tableau etc.)
