Account Manager Industrial & Commercial DACH Region (m/w/d)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

The Account Manager is responsible for revenue growth of the TE sensor business in central Europe (primarily Germany, Austria, Switzerland) with key customers.

The Account Manager handles all aspects of demand creation within the assigned territory: from growing the existing customer base to new business development activities. A key component to this will be the need to develop a strong opportunity pipeline and the successful conversion of new business opportunities along the company strategy. The Account Manager will need to work with direct end-customers (OEMs) as well as interacting with the dedicated Indirect Sales team. Critical to the role will be the ability to build strong customer relationships (with internal and external stakeholders) and to deliver an Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE) with regular customer face-to-face visits. In addition, the Account Manager is responsible for providing forecast accuracy through the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process and will also participate in contract negotiations. Technical support for this role is provided by a dedicated team of Field Application Engineers, with whom the Account Manager will work closely together on customer projects.
 

Responsibilities
The Account Manager is responsible for:
•    Current Revenue in region.
•    Driving Revenue targets / achieving year-on-year growth.
•    Opportunity Pipeline development + conversion.
•    Voice of the customer representation inside the organization.
•    Price and contract negotiations with key customers.
•    Maintaining Forecast accuracy with customer input.
•    Representing TE at trade shows or at industrial associations
•    Daily management of existing Accounts & Prospects in close collaboration with internal departments. 
•    Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders (executive level relationships & key decision makers) at the customer through a strong Sales methodology, value proposition, and Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE).
•    Acting as the single point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
•    Customer Intelligence - Deep understanding of customer markets, market share, competitive landscape, opportunities / challenges, technologies, trends.
•    Driving / influencing TE’s current / future product positioning to gain or re-gain market share.This also includes identifying the right selling methodology.   
•    Creating execution plans for their customer base / market.  
•    Developing and executing customer strategic account growth plans in line with our strategy and product roadmap. Ensuring profitable revenue growth and account penetration. 

What your background should look like:

Qualifications

Experience
•    3+ years of Account Management or Sales experience.
•    Relevant product (Sensors) and / or industry experience is an advantage.
•    Multi-national company experience is a benefit.
•    Team player including ability to develop close working relationships with Engineering / Product Management.
•    Customer support including order & quotation management / contract negotiation.
•    Driving license required.

Education / Profile
•    Business acumen and results oriented self-challenging person
•    Customer-driven, customer focused. Able to efficiently identify customer needs and translate into requirements and solutions based on TE Sensor products.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and computer skills (e.g. Power Point, Excel, Word, CRM and ERP systems).
•    Demonstrates initiative.
•    Flexible, adaptable and open to changes.
•    Business and/or Technical / qualification an advantage
•    Languages: professional English in written and verbal form, professional German.
•    Travel frequency: 50% within the given territory.
•    Location of the position:  Home office based.
