STAFF PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER (REMOTE-MÉXICO)
Job Overview
Application Tooling is currently recruiting for a Busniess Transformation Project Manager to focus on Footprint strategy and transfer projects. The Business Transformation Project Manager will engage closely with our global teams to define the Footprint strategy planning and supporting the execution of strategic projects. This position will expose the successful candidate to a wide variety of footprint and transfer projects while working strategically with TE Plants and suppliers around the world. It will provide the opportunity to interact with all levels within a global organization. He / She will maintain high accuracy and documentation standards under all circumstances as well as managing and measuring work, ability to manage multiple priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand the Operational needs of the organization considering Product Management, Operations, Materials, Supply Chain and Engineering.
• Take project from outline stage. Analyze and develop objectives and solutions to fit the Industrial footprint requirements.
• Propose a cost-effective solution for the project and obtain buy-in/approval from the owning Industrial sub vertical.
• Reduce cost, lead-times and improve quality by consideration of the total picture and do what is best for TE Connectivity.
• Ensure that transfer projects meet the agreed footprint requirements.
• Work with functional managers as needed to meet project objectives and on-time deliveries.
• Hold core team members accountable to assure predictability.
• Support the removal of barriers to assure project commitments will be met.
• Report regularly on progress to plan.
• To ensure detailed action plans for all transfer / other projects are created by allocated Project Engineer and correct procedures are followed.
• To ensure project plans are realistic and cost effective.
• To monitor and suggest adjustment of plans to meet the required schedules.
• To take the appropriate action when problems occur, raising concerns to the next level of Management if required.
• To perform any other tasks allocated by Management.
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic or related engineering discipline
• English Communication Skills
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on business transformation and operations migration, working with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects, meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Experience in managing and executing transfer and migration projects and green field projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Confidence in communicating to senior management and customers.
