Job Overview

The Materials Planning Analyst III is responsible for planning, analyzing, and managing the flow of materials in Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) environments. This role ensures material availability in the correct quantity and timing while balancing customer demand, inventory targets, and service level commitments in alignment with TE Connectivity policies and Business Unit requirements.

The position requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to support operational continuity, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Plan and manage material flow in MTO and MTS environments to prevent shortages, excess inventory, or service disruptions.
  • Analyze weekly customer demand forecasts and execute appropriate planning actions to ensure coverage.
  • Execute MRP planning activities, including release of intercompany purchase orders, rescheduling, and cancellations.
  • Maintain close coordination with Customer Care, Sales, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Suppliers to ensure accurate execution of material plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels, backorders, excess and obsolete materials, and damaged goods; drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including expedited and urgent material requirements when needed.
  • Develop and maintain planning reports, dashboards, and ad‑hoc analyses to support Business Unit performance review and decision making.
  • Maintain accuracy of planning parameters, master data, and transactional information within SAP.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials planning, inventory management, and supply chain performance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, purchasing, or related functions.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of MRP, forecasting, inventory management, logistics, and end‑to‑end supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP (materials planning and inventory modules).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
