Import/Export Specialist III - Analista de Aduanas

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Trade Compliance Teams interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses. 

Coordinates the activities for the trade compliance and ensure the proper functioning of the system Annex 24/31 
Work with the different areas including the development team to develop an interface between the corporate and local systems. 
Support operation on all international import export traffic and ensure all transaction are in compliance with Mexican government customs laws and regulations.

What your background should look like:


  • Annex 24 & 31(Mexican permitting system) 
  • Responsible for generating and updating the following catalogs in the Mexican Permitting System 
  • IMMEX balance analysis 
  • NAFTA flag 
  • New part number 
  • HTS MX & US 
  • ITAR and Export Control Flag 
  • Update the catalog of customers and suppliers. 
  • Duty Rate Catalog for USA and MX 
  • Any new changes that MX law or TE management mandate 
  • Monthly reconciliation 
  • Present Annex 31 Monthly or Bi-Monthly reports 
  • Change the fundaments note at the invoices according with the law. 

NAFTA Responsibilities 

  • Generate and apply the NAFTA certificates for finish goods 
  • Analysis and enforcement of the Article 303 TLC (NAFTA) allowing duty saving in the 
  • Import/export shipments. 
  • Establish the NAFTA reports and Graphics for internal customers. 
  • Working with TE systems, tools, and personnel to and find solutions regarding potential options for part numbers regarding NAFTA qualification. 
  • Work with compliance TEam to review the potential duty savings backlog, forecast and prioritize time to concentrate on the most optimal duty mitigation methods. 
  • Assist with the soliciting of NAFTA certificates every year. 
  • Assist with the NAFTA analysis as report for other Maquiladoras 
  • Audit Mexican Permitting System 
  • Audit the data stage GLOSA Vs INTRADE 
  • Audit the catalog information(INTRADE) 
  • Audit the Import and Export pedimentos 
  • Audit the invoices of all vendors 
  • Audit the daily operation of the department of invoicing(Filters) 
  • Inventory control in accordance with annex 24 
  • Support operations on reviewing all customs agencies and carriers in order to strengthen 

Communication, procedures and weaknesses. 

  • Audit the archive of pedimentos. 

Compliance Responsibilities 

  • Oversight of the IMMEX, VAT(Annex 31), the certification program of the company in order to be in compliance with the customs regulations and correctly apply the procedures, actualizations and avoid penalties and cancelations. 
  • Classification of articles overall, using the harmonized tariff schedule for US and MX. 
  • Ensure the functioning of the interface between INTRADE/CODICE and SAP. 
  • Support and strengthen knowledge for the implementation of a new custom Software (CODICE) 
  • Balance reconciliation responsibilities. (A3-F4-R1) 
  • Assists with Permits COFEPRIS, PROFEPA, SAGARPA and any other Governmental requirement. 
  • Hazmat, Entry, ACE, TSCA, SED, HTS. CFR19, IATA, Delivery Ticket, Manipulations 
  • Support other FTA like EUR1 and ACE-55 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, International Trade or similar
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in International Trade Area 
  • + 1 year of experience with IMMEX. 
  • Administrator of the Customs System Annex 24/31
  • Excellent skills in Excel, word, PowerPoint
  • English
