Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.


  • Overall responsibility for successful project(s) execution to meet the project charter(s)
  • Cost control: manage the project capital expenditures to stay within budget and ensure that the cost performance metrics of net throughput, material consumption, and labor content are realized
  • Communications: develop the project communication plan, lead weekly project reviews with customers, hold periodic internal project reviews as needed, report project progress, and manage and influence stakeholder expectations
  • Planning: Lead and develop effective project plans including the core areas of project integration, timing, costs, risk management, communications, project quality, human resources, procurement planning, and scope
  • Risk management: effectively create, monitor, and control risk management plans
  • Ensure processes within the area of responsibility are properly mapped, metrics assigned, monitored, defined, and prioritized/aligned with other HR programs to ensure synergy of initiatives
  • Implement and monitor project schedule to ensure deadlines/deliverables are met
  • Conduct business analysis assessments to drive scalability, flexibility, speed, innovation, and solutions
  • Maintain project meeting documentation and distribution
  • Collaborate with HR and business leads to implement enterprise-wide strategic initiatives related to all areas in Human Resources, including process or system implementation
  • Use of LEAN/Six Sigma/Agile and project management methodologies to drive continuous improvement
  • Establish a rapport with the process owners and external suppliers to ensure thorough understanding of business needs and delivering best practices
  • Coach, consult and influence business leads and anticipate/mitigate risks to drive change management/advocacy
  • Organize and facilitate process improvement Kaizen events involving all stakeholders of the process in new designs
  • Ensure proper Voice of Customer/Voice of the Business is gathered as part of the initiative prioritization process
  • Foster a customer-focused approach to the design and implementation of HR process and systems

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Business/Finance/Human Resources); MBA preferred
  • 5+ years project management experience, global experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, additional language skills a plus
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours with advance notice to support various time-zones
  • Experience working in a HR structure or exposure to procurement processes/systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail coupled with the ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office 360 (i.e. PPT, Excel, TEAMS, and SharePoint)
  • Working knowledge of IT, HR, Financial, Procurement systems (i.e. SAP, Success Factors, Tableau, and CRM) preferred
  • PMP, LEAN and/or Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in a global/matrix environment
  • Customer centricity and demonstrated success working in a cross-cultural environment
