TE Connectivity’s Sensors Business Unit is seeking a Regional Costing Leader within BU Costing Team, part of BU Operations Finance. BU Costing Leader plays a key role in driving operational excellence and financial insight across our manufacturing plants. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate product cost models, analyzing manufacturing performance and supporting strategic decisions such as footprint optimization and improving profitability and cost competitiveness.The Leader will act as BU SME for annual recost process engaging with relevant teams at BU level – Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and “go-to” person for TS Segment and Corporate teams. The role will focus on developing structure, visibility and cross-plants alignment in overall costing and routing matters.The Regional Costing Leader will have ownership of plants’ costing activities in North America region.

Your main tasks:

  • Lead annual recost process for entire Sensors BU, drive clarity, design and implement improvements, enhance setting and sharing reports, shapes communication channels.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration to establish re-cost calendar with sequential activities, host regular in-process meetings; provide updates to BU Leadership Team.
  • Drive improvements in cost set up, rates granularity and engage all teams within the costing process evolution.
  • Support costing requests from PM organization and provide cost estimates for foot-print decisions.
  • Perform costing calculations and activities for North America plants during annual recost process and interim cost changes, set up new products.
  • Assist various teams in North America cost queries, analysis and drive clarity around costing matters, own system process and updates.
  • Support Ad-hoc requests related to costing and foot-print.

Your ideal profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or relevant field (MBA or CPA is preferred).
  • 5+ years experience in plant controlling, cost controlling, costing or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Experience in multiproduct /multistream industry is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standard costs calculations, financial analyzing and data modelling withing manufacturing processes.
  • Leadership skills to engage diverse cross-functional teams, share ideas and drive improvements.
  • Train and lead more junior costs accountants.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to suggest and implement conclusions.
  • Proficiency in SAP, familiarity with Power BI, Tableau and ThinkCell with desire to learn more.
