Job Overview

 TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

Part of TE Sensors Business unit, the Timisoara Quality manager is responsible for ensuring that processes are in place to avoid non-conformities to affect the customers and for ensuring we are preventing their occurrence within the organization. The site Quality manager has responsibility over Timisoara Plant: System Quality, Customer Quality and Supplier Quality. The quality manager’s priority is to identify risks and prevent occurrence of non-conformities that could affect our customers.

The position is responsible to make sure that audit findings are closed on a timely manner and to organize fast resolution of non-conformities (internal and external).

Part of EMEA Quality organization, the Timisoara Quality manager participates to the EMEA quality managers organization to make sure processes and best practices are aligned within the region and are aligned with the TE Sensors strategy and best practices.  

What your background should look like:

  • Education in Engineering degree (mechanical or electronics);
  • 5 + years experience in a Plant Quality management role;
  • Occasional travels are expected to visit suppliers, customers or attend TES meetings generally in EMEA;
  • Fluent English is a must. German is an advantage;
  • Experience in leading problem solving groups with knowledge of problem solving methodologies;
  • Experience of international environment and group environment with structured processes;
  • Strong leadership skills : ability to understand the big picture, ability to take decisions, positive attitude, open minded, team builder;
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
