Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.
Job Responsibilities
• Ensures the processing of manufactured / assembled components in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, respecting the prescribed design specifications and quality standards.
• Constantly analyzes the production processes and has a positive approach regarding the development and implementation of production and quality improvements.
• Use analysis tools and techniques to identify the root cause and improve processes.
• Ensures compliance with production requirements in accordance with the customer's quality standards, guides and leads the development and maintenance of the necessary standard operating procedures and work instructions to enable a constant process of quality parts.
• Manages compliance with established requirements, highlighted in standards such as TS, ISO, etc.
• He is responsible for the processes of selection, employment, training, performance evaluation and the achievement of performance indicators for the team he leads, as well as for the team development.
• Provides personal advice, resolves complaints and communicates information regarding policies, procedures and operational changes to subordinate teams.
• Identifies the training needs for the team he coordinates and ensures that they are met.
• Operates in a timely manner in SAP the transactions related to rejections/ scrap and quarantine.
• Collaborates with the Supply Chain team in order to optimally plan production according to available resources.
What your background should look like:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating a production team.
- SAP knowledge
- Knowledge of PC operation (Office Package/ MS Teams)
- Team coordination and motivation skills
- Proficiency in English language
