Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

Position based out of TIMISOARA, Romania and reporting to the Quality Manager, Sensor Solutions. The incumbent is responsible for being the Customer Quality Engineer in our Company is to monitor and to apply quality standards and techniques for production. He ensures that the new products delivered to the customer are qualitatively appropriate and meet the customer's requirements.


  • Complies with the health, safety and environmental norms required by the Romanian legislation in force as well as the established procedures in the field;
  • Escalates the problems according to the escalation matrix in force; triggers, leads and participates in effective Problem-Solving actions, in accordance with the procedures in force;
  • Generates and implements ideas for improvement and ensures the achievement of the objective of Implemented Ideas of the team to which it belongs;
  • Implements and complies with TEOA (TE Operational Advantage) norms;
  • Shares knowledge and best practices with colleagues in the compartment and in other compartments/departments;
  • Comply with the Internal Regulations;
  • Respects the Code of Ethics and local rules of conduct;
  • Responsible for achieving the objectives set and approved in the performance evaluation system;
  • Prepares the Certificates of Conformity;
  • Authorizes release and changes in the process and special launches;
  • Manages quality assurance agreements;
  • It is the VOC (voice of the customer) in all aspects of quality;
  • Owns area-specific qualifications (9001/ISO TS);
  • Monitors the quality level of newly manufactured products and analyzes the defects that occurred in production on projects in progress;
  • Leads the analysis sessions of the complaints from the client for the new products and completes the 8D reports related;
  • Coordinates the approval process of new parts (PPAP);
  • Regularly reports the evolution of quality performance indicators.

What your background should look like:

  • Engineering Degree (process, production, or other similar discipline)
  • 3+ years of experience in the Quality department
  • 3+ years of experience in the production environment
  • Advanced English
  • Certify ISO 9001/ISO TS
  • Internal auditor skills
  • Technical knowledge: 5Why, 8D, Ishikawa, SAP, PDCA, PFMEA
  • IT knowledge: Minitab (or a similar statistical analysis program), Microsoft Office
  • Communication skills
  • Team spirit
