Responsibilities
• Responsible for assessing supplier capabilities to ensure supplier is able to reach the level of performance, capability and capacity required to meet our business needs.
• Will also work with the assigned SQE to help identify and resolve any quality issues with targeted supplier.
• This position will teach suppliers on how to work with TE TEOA Tools (Supplier Portal access, TE procedures, DPA & DLT, Standard Tools, etc).
• Coach new team members on how to work within TE guidelines (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.).
• Work with Commodity Managers and Strategic Sourcing Specialists to manage supplier relationship within Monthly performance reviews and Quarterly business reviews.
• Work as support for various TE manufacturing sites, focusing on how supplied material impacts the business unit strategy in term of availability and inventory.
• Monitor and communicate key supplier performance metrics.
• Engage with Sourcing and Development teams to plan and execute Supplier Town Hall meeting.
Requirements
• Motivated individual with the ability to learn quickly and work in a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take ownership of actions and lead to closure. Strong project management skills.
• A clear communicator who can speak and present confidently to a diverse audience, including senior management.
• Technically competent to interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Supply / Demand Management as well as all levels within the Supplier’s organization.
• Fluent in English; reading, writing, and speaking English language.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, or other related disciplines.
• Proficient with MS-Office and SAP products.
• Experience with Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain fields.
• Practical Problem Solving, 8D, 5 why, Fishbone experience.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (APICS) is a plus.
• Certified AS9100 Auditor or similar Quality Management System Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and interact proactively with TE manufacturing site personnel and suppliers (up to 50%).
