Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage to cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule, and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints, and working with management for resolution while adhering to LeanPD processes.

AD&M is looking for a Project Manager Engineer to join the Product Management Sustaining team within the Integrated System Group. The team is responsible for planning and coordinating the modifications and maintenance of products, which have been released to the market, but require either; product redesign, capacity tooling, replacement tooling, transfer of the manufacturing process, changes to the supply chain, or process improvements.

The Project Manager Engineer is required to lead cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operation, and Purchasing to successfully deliver sustainable projects through a phased execution process. The Project Manager is accountable for the project financials and schedule.

What your background should look like:

Key Responsibilities: 

Manage multiple sustaining projects through the TE phased execution process, including;
•    Redesign - Change in the design (including any subcomponents/base materials) of existing products and/or components).
•    Process Improvement – an improvement to the manufacturing process.
•    Transfer of Manufacturing - Transition of tools, processes, product, or production loads from one manufacturing location to internal and/or external production facility (Excluding full-plant migrations).
•    Tooling / Assembly - Additions and/or replacement of tooling/equipment within the production facility
•    End of Life - Planning and managing product obsolescence.
•    Supply Chain - Optimizing sources or logistics channels for materials/parts/services that requires a significant level of engineering resource to support.  
   

 

Additional Responsabilities

Lead global cross-functional teams comprised of Engineering, Operations, Business Office, Purchasing, Finance, and Quality.
•    Pitch new projects to the Project Approval Committee (PAC) for a successful launch and resource allocation
•    Communicate project updates to the PAC at defined Gates / Milestones 
•    Maintain the project schedule and P&L in TE’s project management tool ‘TE Project’
•    Support capacity planning and project resource estimates
•    Track and report out project performance metrics
•    Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives 

Requirements:
•    University degree in Project Management / Engineering preferred
•    PC proficient including; MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
•    Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in Project Management.
•    Strong ability to set goals and motivate team members.
•    Able to run multiple projects at the same time.
•    Ideal candidate is proactive, resilient, and self-confident.
•    High level of English language and documentation skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to provide effective project leadership within a cross-functional team
•    Industry experience within Aerospace, Wire & Cable or Polymer Development / Manufacturing
•    Solid understanding of the Project Management methodology and principles
•    Strong and thorough knowledge of Project Management tools 
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Good track record of managing complex multifunctional projects in various environments.
•    Good at managing and manipulating data (MS Excel, Access, Power BI)
•    Developing automated reports/dashboards (Power BI)
•    Creating effective, informed and highly motivated teams focused on delivery.
•    Experience in working with sponsors, stakeholders, and solution providers.
