Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

What your background should look like:

Responsabilities:

-Provide engineering support for EPS & WNC products used and sold into the Aerospace and Military markets.
-Support specific development activities as part of a larger development project, organizing experiments, trials, testing, and collating data.
-Support VAVE activities collaborating in brainstorm sessions, innovative solutions, organizing experiments, trials, testing, and collating data.
-Suggest design changes of new products to reduce costs and overall manufacturing efficiency
-Provide support for product and materials obsolescence and product migration.
-Lead continuous improvement activities for product streamlining.
-Work closely with Lead Engineers, Product Managers, Project Managers and Operations to successfully deliver new development projects into operations.
-Run product development trials of New Product Development projects while fully integrating with the LEANPD process and PLM Central, ensuring that work is scheduled to meet pre-determined targets.
-Support key data collection for DFMEA, PFMEA, and Qualification data.
-Write Product Specifications, Quality Test Plans and Test Reports, and update existing product specifications when required.

Requirements:

-B.S. degree on Industrial Engineering. M.S. degree is desirable. 
-Experience in providing detailed documentation and translating into concise technical reports.
-Ability to understand and work out complex technical solutions
-Ability to communicate and listen cross-functional teams to accelerate the product development and VAVE projects
-Experience with product development from concept to industrialization preferred (VOC, DOE, FMEA, FEA). 
-Competent user of 2D/3D CAD applications
-Advanced English
