Job Overview

Implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; performs research on products and manufacturing processes and shares the same with senior engineers.

Job Requirements

RESPONSABILITIES:
-Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, including tooling, fixtures and processes.
-Develops, modifies and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP).
-Analyzes and plans space requirements, workflow and designs lay-out of equipment and workstations for maximum efficiency.
-Process support (scrap, quality issues, downtime, efficiency & productivity).
-Develops and implements procedures and work and rework instructions.
-Performs line balancing and times and movements studies.
-Develops standard work for  manufacturing processes.
-Implement and participate in TEOA (continuous improvement) activities.
-Provide support to internal and external customer in meetings, projects and the activities that emerge from them.
-Manages changes with the proper documentation.
-Participate in ergonomics studies and safety audits
-Create, update, and maintain BOM and routes.
-Manage cost reduction projects, develops timelines and achieve completion dates.
-Develops and updates the value stream map (VSM) of the area. 
-Manage CAPEX (capital expenditure) projects, developing timelines and achieve completion dates.
-Leads and executes the process and equipment validation as well as the propper managment of the changes. 
-Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis.
-Leads transfers and validation of product. 
-Host and support visitors and participate in audits.
-Develops and Analyzed Statistical Data for Product/Process Performance to Recommend and Implement Improvements in targeted areas.
-Development and validation of the molding process using the 53P methodology (scientific, systematic or decoupled molding).
-Investigate, justify and execute the acquisition of auxiliary equipment such as thermoregulators, temperature controllers, hydraulic units, etc.
-Researches, develops and maintains a technological plan to keep  processes safe, updated and efficient.


REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar roles
•Master Molder Certification
•Fluent English
•Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Graphics and Charts.
•Lean manufacturing proficiency.
•Process Improvements Methodology (Six-sigma, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve y Control), 8D’s, 5 Why’s).
•Proficiency on Solidwork, Autocad, CREO or drawing software
•Continuous improvement proficiency.
•SAP proficiency
•Scientific Molding and Decoupled Molding

What your background should look like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
