Job Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor II to lead and strengthen our night shift operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This role is critical to establishing a fully autonomous and robust second shift, especially as production expands with incoming materials from our sister plant in Hermosillo.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can make independent operational decisions in a dynamic environment, managing both production processes and people effectively.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, develop, and motivate the production team to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets
  • Manage a team of approximately 15 employees, with growth potential to 30–35 direct and indirect reports
  • Make independent operational decisions during the night shift (after 11:00 pm) without direct management support
  • Ensure execution of production plans and performance metrics (pieces/hour, headcount, efficiency, scrap)
  • Maintain process control through standard work and operational tools
  • Coordinate shift handoffs to ensure operational continuity
  • Manage employee-related processes: timekeeping, payroll review, vacations, permits, and disciplinary actions (System 3)
  • Ensure proper documentation, scrap reporting, and daily job order releases
  • Provide indirect support to maintenance, warehouse, and inspection teams
  • Travel between up to four production plants during the shift to oversee operations
  • Develop team capabilities and ensure training compliance
  • Promote safety, health, and adherence to quality systems (ISO, etc.)

What your background should look like

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5 years in similar supervisory roles in manufacturing
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
  • Language: Advanced English (70–90%)
  • Technical Experience:
    • Molding basic processes
    • Electronics manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Systems: SAP (preferred), System 3 (preferred)
  • Certifications: Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 or similar quality systems (preferred)
