Job Overview
The Plant Controller is a key member of the plant leadership team and a strategic business partner to the Plant Manager and operations leaders. This role drives financial performance, supports decision-making, and ensures the plant meets its operational and financial targets.
Unlike traditional roles, this position is highly focused on business partnering, as transactional accounting activities are handled by a Financial Solutions Center.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Plant Manager and leadership team to drive business performance
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Analyze plant performance (costing, variances, margins) and provide actionable insights
- Support investment decisions and capital projects (CAPEX, automation, etc.)
- Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage standard costing and support inventory control
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies
What your background should look like
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven experience as a Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment (must-have)
- Strong background in cost accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis
- Experience partnering with operations and influencing decision-making
- SAP and advanced Excel skills preferred
- MBA or professional certification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA) is a plus
- Advanced English
