Strategic Sourcing Analyst Project (Buyer)

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for defining and implementing regional sourcing strategies for all commodities and suppliers in order to reach the respective sourcing targets in delivery, productivity, cost, and quality. Moreover, this position is responsible for supplier negotiations, supplier capacity management, and supplier compliance with relevant TE requirements.
Your main tasks

Develop Morocco localization and supplier sourcing strategy based on customer needs

Classify suppliers into grow, fix, or exit categories

Conduct make or buy analyses
-
Drive procurement KPIs: CMP, lead time, STR/STC, DLPM
-
Maintain 125% material pipeline and improve material productivity (CMP, TEBIT, WAV)

Manage supplier footprint, onboarding, reduction, and resourcing activities
-
Maintain supplier capacity and capability data to prevent constraints
-
Conduct QBRs with strategic suppliers and drive corrective actions
-
Ensure supplier compliance with TE requirements (RoHS, Reach, conflict minerals, portal use)

Negotiate and manage supplier agreements (bailment, inventory, supply)

Prepare RFQs, award business, and negotiate prices for materials, components, and tooling

Ensure PO and info record accuracy, including lead time, price, and MOQ

Optimize MOQ and establish agreements (VMI, EDI, consignment, scheduling, blanket POs)

Capture and deliver OV tool data to Finance

Calculate PIA impact and obtain approvals

Align NPI activities with global sourcing strategy and limit new suppliers

Conduct risk assessments for new and legacy suppliers

Manage tool lifecycle at suppliers

Support plant operations for certifications and procurement requirements

Support tactical buyers with inventory management, product shelf life, and invoice blocks

Support insourcing projects and supplier quality audits
Your ideal background
- Master's degree in Engineering, specializing in Quality or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience within the automotive industry.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong customer focus and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
- Able to work effectively in a matrix environment with multicultural teams
- Skilled in creating competitive strategies and understanding market trends
- Proven negotiation skills with a strong track record
- Knowledge of regional and global supplier base for relevant commodities
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English at negotiation level; local language is a plus
