Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

• Develop and monitor a database for Molds, Dies and assembly machines conditions, to facilitate decision making regarding replacement needs and create sustaining projects accordingly.
• Monitor the equipment capacity situation as well as the S&OP cycles and assess the duplication needs accordingly by creating sustaining projects.
• Collaborate very close with operations, S&OP, Localization & Product Management teams to identify new sustaining project needs and work on their business cases.
• Lead the local sustaining team and support their development.
• Lead the execution of the agreed sustaining project implementation plan.
• Track sustaining project implementation action plan from initiation until execution and customer approval according to the defined timeline.
• Ensure timely information / escalation in case of bottlenecks / roadblocks and prepare action plans / proposals for management approval.
• Coordinate and Monitor Sustaining projects according to Sustaining project implementation EMEA procedure QMP_EMEA_029.
• Facilitate regular monthly reporting to local management.
• Support the local operations team during budget and cycle forecast submission.

What your background should look like:

 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Excellent writing, documentation, and verbal communication skills.
• French, English fluent, German is a plus.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Basic Knowledge of current automotive products.
• Process understanding in Molding, Stamping and Assembly.
• Ability to multi-task and work with conflicting design demands.
• Strong team leadership, as well as project leadership is mandatory.
• Ability to work in multi-functional areas and overcome barriers.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural team Experience with Teamwork talent.
• Strong ability to successfully lead and develop project/virtual teams.
