Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

• Overall molding process development, coordinating with interaction processes (Stamping, Plating, Assembly) to ensure the best process and cost for F/Gs.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the successful transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems. Optimize Time to Market for successful new product launches meeting customer targeted timelines.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Development Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Excellence in Manufacturing Technologies: Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, striving to optimize processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time, aligning with TEOA requirements and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s).
• Process documentation (PFD,PFMEAs, …).

What your background should look like:

 

• Technical Diploma, Min BAC+5 (Plastic /Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.).
• 4-5 years of experience in engineering process.
• Previous experience Automotive systems and Molding process.
• Proven ability to lead/drive change using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and drive solutions/corrective action.
• Strong aptitude in SAP, Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to quickly learn internal software tools.
• Competency with CAD and other 3-D modeling and metrology software desired (Pro/E or Creo, Volume Graphics is preferred) Good teamwork and communication skills。
• Fluent in written and Spoken English.
