Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

Management:

  • Participate in evaluations and manage trainees, suppliers, or external services.
  • Lead technical aspects of projects.

 

Technical Development:

  • Design and develop automotive connection solutions, ensuring feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee CAD modeling, technical drawings, and BOM definition.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, FEM analysis, and material resistance calculations.

 

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to TE and customer specifications.
  • Lead Design to Cost, FMEA, and Design Reviews.
  • Maintain technical documentation and protect TE’s intellectual property.

 

Lifecycle & Production Support:

  • Support product qualification, testing, and design changes.
  • Manage production approvals and participate in standardization initiatives.

What your background should look like:

 

  • Engineering degree Generalist or Mechanical Engineering, Micro Technics or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in various Engineering assignments.
  • Previous experience in Development center is plus : Study, R&D, Laboratory, Methods/ Planning in industrial world.
  • Knowhow of material resistance.
  • Know how on cutting, molding, plasturgy, conception, CAO, Plastique materials, Metals and surface treatments.
