Molding Toolshop Supervisor
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Mold Makers apply knowledge of mold design and construction to the construction, conditioning, modification, repair and maintenance of injection and transfer molds, gauges, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures. In some instances they may fabricate new molds by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specifications. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Coordinate the preparation of the work schedule taking into account capacity and knowledge within the department and where necessary in consultation with the other departments.
• Managing employees within the department who are responsible for realizing maximum productivity and quality and achieving the department's objectives.
• Daily monitoring, coaching, motivating and developing the employees within the department.
• Management of the machinery (maintenance/repairs/replacement,)
• Coordination and initiation of tool optimizations
• Assistance with current daily problems (quality problems)
• Monitoring of TPM activities on the injection molds
• Close cooperation with the design department and T&D
• Compliance and implementation of occupational safety in mold making.
• Supporting the implementation of TEOA within the department and monitoring the various KPIs.
• Responsible for internal and external tool shop related reporting and communication.
What your background should look like:
• Technical Diploma, Min BAC+5 (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering).
• 4-5 years of experience in Toolshop.
• Previous experience in Automotive systems and Molding.
• Proven ability to lead/drive change.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and drive solutions/corrective action.
• Knowledge of SAP, excel, Pro Engineer/Creo is a plus.
