Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Machinist Team's responsibilities include, assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. They work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions, communicating directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Tasks summary and Responsabilities

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Responsible for the initial start-up and processing of all thermoplastic molding machines, robots and auxiliary equipment.
  • Participate in the set-up and sampling of new, transferred, and modified molds.
  • Ability to debug and take corrective action on molds and processes as necessary.
  • Work with tooling and maintenance personnel as required.
  • Work with engineering, plant personal, and suppliers in all areas of technical processing.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering grade resins and their properties.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of maintenance needs to equipment as necessary.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation & paperwork.
  • Ability to use and understand scientific molding methodology and procedures.
  • Maintain TE’s standard, 5S+1  of housekeeping in all areas.

What your background should look like:

  • Educational Degree :    Above than Bac+3

    Professional Experience  :  Between 2 and 8 years of experience

    Special Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills : 

    Capacity analysis on injection molding process
    Experience in thermoplastic 
    Other important things to note : Travel, including to foreign manufacturing locations, occasionally required.
