Summary

  • TE Connectivity’s R&D and Product Development Engineering Teams are at the forefront of innovation — conceiving original product ideas and transforming them into practical, high-quality solutions. These teams are responsible for the complete product development lifecycle, from market definition and concept creation to qualification, production, and release.

    They ensure that new products meet TE’s standards for performance, quality, and manufacturability by working closely with suppliers to qualify new materials, components, and manufacturing processes. Their responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, performing testing on new and modified designs, and directing detailed design, prototyping, and manufacturing ramp-up activities.

    The teams provide all necessary product documentation, including 3D/2D production drawings, solid models, specifications, and test requirements. They also create and update detailed drawings, conceptual models, and design modifications to improve manufacturability, reliability, and overall product quality.

    Typical fields of expertise include materials science, mechanics, electrical and electronic systems, optics, chemistry, software, automation, packaging, testing, and measurement, as well as the integration of electrical, mechanical, and electronic components into complex systems.

What your background should look like

Education:

  • Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Electromechanics, or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • Entry-level / recent graduate profile accepted.

  • Any relevant internship or project experience in industrial automation, mechanical design, or manufacturing is a plus.
