Your main tasks
- Support the Payroll Specialist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll by collecting, and consolidating all payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, leave, absences, bonuses, allowances, deductions and other variable pay elements.
- Perform data quality checks and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, missing information or anomalies before payroll processing, and ensure that accurate and complete data is provided within the required timelines.
- Maintain and update payroll-related employee data in payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and consistency across relevant records.
- Support employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, employee movements, transfers, salary changes and offboarding, ensuring that all payroll-related information and documentation are properly prepared and followed up.
- Support the administration of employee departures, including preparation and follow-up of payroll-related documents, final settlements, certificates and other required administrative documents.
- Provide first-level support to employees on routine payroll and administrative queries, including payslips, leave, absences, deductions, social contributions and other payroll-related matters, escalating complex cases to the Payroll Specialist when required.
- Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations, including preparation of regular reports, payroll controls and analysis of variances or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, Moroccan labor and social legislation, and confidentiality requirements, particularly regarding sensitive employee and payroll information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, data quality, controls and administrative efficiency.
Your ideal background
- Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Candidates with 2 or 3 years experience in payroll, HR administration or accounting
- Basic knowledge of payroll processes and HR administration within the Moroccan context
- Fluency in English and French
- Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools; ability to work with data and perform basic reconciliations
- Experience with an HRIS or payroll system is an advantage
- Basic understanding of Moroccan social security and payroll regulations is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies
- Ability to manage confidential information with a high level of discretion
- Rigorous, organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines in a monthly payroll cycle
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
