Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.

Tasks Summary and Responsibilities

  • Reception of new,transferred machine and supervising of installation.
  • Sampling activity
  • Supporting on technical issues (pre serial and improvement)
  • Establish swi
  • Supporting production team(training before during ramp up plan) 
  • Ensure ram up  plan
  • Supporting on the installation of new,transferred machines.
  • Execution of the action plan
  • Participating on claims analysis ,
  • Participate in the conception and execution of new solutions.
  • Chasing improvement opportunities .
  • Define the reference parameters of camera and sensors (during validation)
  • Ensure the good functioning of check stations
  • Ensure the layout update and optimization
  • Participating in the elaboration of PFMEA
  • Reception and installation of process equipment
  • Ensure the gemba walks
  • Ensure the respect of the defined layout for each machine.
  • Ensure the respect of SWI
  • Ensure the respect of process parameters
  • Define and create the dummies parts and related swi

What your background should look like:

Professional Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in relevant processes and functions

Special Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of CAD

  • Capacity analysis expertise

  • Experience with fully automatic and high-precision processes

  • Solid understanding of automation

  • Machine programming skills

  • Proficiency in sensor and camera teaching and setting

Additional Notes

  • Occasional travel, including to foreign manufacturing locations, may be required.
