METROLOGIST

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

Tasks Summary and Responsibilities

1. Metrology System Application

• Apply the metrology system in accordance with IATF 16949 and internal regulations.

2. Metrological Confirmation

• Provide activities for metrological confirmation per internal regulations.

3. Calibration Management

• Maintain calibration software and documentation.
• Ensure proper labeling of measuring equipment.
• Perform internal calibration of ECME according to established procedures.
• Facilitate both regular and new outsourced calibration in the assigned metrology field.

4. Review and Compliance

• Review results of outsourced calibration against defined metrological requirements.
• Check and validate external calibration certificates.

5. Procedure Development

• Create and revise internal calibration procedures within the assigned measurement field.

6. Project Cooperation

• Collaborate on projects related to metrology and measurement.

7. ECME Management

• Ensure the proper functioning of measuring equipment:
• Identify equipment failures.
• Remove and block non-conforming ECME.
• Ensure out-of-service measuring equipment is properly managed.
• Maintain traceability of all measuring equipment.

8. Technical Oversight

• Monitor the lab environment for technical compliance.
• Report improvements on the test station to leadership.

• Implement 5S+1 in the lab area.

9. Calibration Planning

• Adhere to the calibration planning schedule.
• Assist and oversee calibration performed by external suppliers.

10. Measurement Standards

• Select appropriate measurement standards to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Ensure inspection and test equipment is calibrated in a suitable environment.
• Ensure the metrological traceability of the ECME

What your background should look like:

Educational Degree : BAC+2 ou BAC +3 (BTS /DUT) in Mechanics, electrotechnic, electric, electromechanical and mechanical.

Professional Experience : 0 to 2 years’ experience in various technical environment (Laboratory ideally: field of measurement / calibration / metrology)

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills : Writing English
