Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Commercial Law Teams provide a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services including contracts, legal rights, obligations, and privileges. They also review legal data and advise organization on appropriate legal action.

A Counsel is a key role with global scope that will act as the interface between the Law Department and our internal clients from the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Sales teams. As their business partner, you are the central point of contact for legal advice and risk management to the operating unit and, in particular, counsel to the business leadership team. 
The position requires an active participation in the decision-making with respect to the formation of strategy and operating plans.
The Counsel must be able to balance their leadership role of being a supportive business partner, while protecting the BU and Enterprise from commercial and compliance risks.  This position reports directly to the BU lead counsel and indirectly to the Electrical sub-vertical General Manager.

What your background should look like:


• Licensed to practice law with a law degree from a recognized university and solid academic records
• A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally two to three years in an in-house legal capacity, advising on commercial legal matters in an international environment

Key Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive work style,
• Assertiveness and strong communication in negotiation settings
• Fluency, Both oral and written in French and English
• Intercultural competence and work experience in a global business environment is a plus
• Flexibility to develop strong relationships with multiple departments in a large, matrixed organization
