Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. They create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes and contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Typical fields of expertise include: materials, mechanics and systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Technicien pour le développement de nouveaux produits ou pour le maintien des produits existants, il propose des 
solutions techniques sur les produits connectiques qui assureront les fonctions demandées par le client en respectant 
le cahier des charges en termes de :
- Conception : Faisabilité, respect des normes et procédures.
- Qualité. : Préconiser les produits qui assureront les performances attendues par le client
- Délais : Réaliser les projets de conception dans les délais négociés
- Coût : Créer en fonction d’un prix de revient objectif 
- Contribuer à la réussite finale de la vente (Chiffre d’affaire).
Il réalise les solutions techniques, les modèles CAO, les plans de détail, les plans d’ensembles et de sous ensembles, à partir d’un plan d’ensemble ou d’un schéma, ou d’un cahier des charges :
Exécute les différents plans et schémas nécessaires à la constitution d’un dossier technique.
Il étudie la faisabilité technique des solutions proposées, des contraintes imposées par le Tool & Die et le 
Manufacturing Engineering.
- Utilise les normes, les connaissances des techniques de fabrication et des matériaux utilisés pour la définition 
des pièces.
- Etablit les cotations fonctionnelles et les analyses fonctionnelles s’y rattachant (remontages de cotes)
- Effectue les calculs d’approche en résistance des matériaux pour le dimensionnement des pièces.
- Sollicite le Calcul par Eléments finis (FEM) et participe au choix de la solution retenue.
- Etablit les nomenclatures.

What your background should look like:

 Formation Technicien type (DUT ou BTS) Généraliste ou spécialisé en 
mécanique, microtechnique, électromécanique,
- Formation Bac+3 (Licence Professionnelle) Généraliste ou spécialisé en 
mécanique, microtechnique, électromécanique,
- Une expérience en BE est un plus : études, laboratoire, méthodes / 
ordonnancement / planification dans le milieu industriel. 
- Connaissance en résistance des matériaux.
- Des connaissances en découpe, moulage, plasturgie, conception, dessin CAO, 
matériaux plastique et métal et traitement de surface sont un plus.
