Job Overview

TE's Talent Acquisition teams evaluate TE's ability to recruit and select the desired employees and develop, implement and monitor the programs and processes used in recruitment and selection. They source, recruit, screen, interview and recommend external and/or internal candidates to staff open requisitions. They also utilize the services of employment agencies and/or place employment ads in appropriate sources, including the intranet, Internet and print media.


The teams are responsible for developing and implementing recruiting plans and administering talent management efforts and employee referral programs, managing the resume tracking system and ensuring consistent corporate image throughout recruiting campaigns.

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for finding Manufacturing top-talent and thrive in a fast-faced environment while having the ability to prioritize their time and execute with a sense of urgency all while providing amazing customer service.

 

This individual will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring talent for a fast-growing manufacturing site that specializes in relays, connectors, fiber optics, wire and cable used in harsh environments. 

 

This position will partner closely with HR, Hiring Managers, and Leadership to understand staffing needs to incorporate recruiting best practices to source candidates.  

 

This role will be based in Fairview, North Carolina and will support both our Fairview and Arden sites, located within 20 minutes of each other. 

 

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  •  Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, engagement, pre-screening, offer extension, system setup and onboarding administration.
  • Actively support the development of a sustainable skilled‑labor pipeline by partnering with local technical colleges, high schools, workforce boards, and apprenticeship programs to build future talent for key manufacturing roles.
  • Support site‑level employment branding efforts through participation in job fairs, plant tours, community events, and early‑career outreach activities.
  • Provide basic HR generalist support as needed, including onboarding assistance, time and attendance guidance, policy clarification, and escalation of employee questions to HR or supervision.
  •  Conduct candidate interviews via phone, video, or in-person.
  •  Provides detailed candidate information to hiring managers for review.
  •  Partner with local HR to evaluate and recommend compensation packages.
  •  Continually network with internal and external talent to build a proactive pipeline.
  •  Manages the local recruitment agency relationship for contract hiring needs. 
  •  Assist with the system setup and onboarding administration of contract conversions and hires. 
  •  Identify and help lead initiatives that drive hiring efficiencies and improvements to our recruitment efforts.
  •  Manage the reporting of new hires, terms, contract labor, and HC numbers. 
  •  Assist the Talent Acquisition Support Specialist with all New Hire orientation administrative items (I-9, badges, ADP registration, benefits orientation, etc.) 
  •  Related administrative responsibilities and miscellaneous projects as assigned.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of high-volume non-exempt recruitment experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience working for an Industrial Technology and Manufacturing organization is nice to have
  • Experience recruiting for different functional areas of Manufacturing and Operations, for both skilled and semi-skilled production roles
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as with the team.
  • Has knowledge of recruitment databases and external job websites.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills, specifically written and oral.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $95,600 - $143,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
