Job Overview

The Field Application Engineer is the primary relationship builder with customers engineering department and plays a crucial role in design-in of new and existing products across all TE IND subverticals. Furthermore this role supports as application subject matter expert the Account Managers and Sales Engineers with broader application and product specific knowledge and acts as an interface between the customer and the TE IND subverticals.

Job Requirements

    Demand generation at lead customers (Datacenter power supply), including driving new product design-ins and identifies possibilities to sell the complete TE product portfolio.
    First level support for all technical clarifications at customer and follow up on improvements 
    Drive project progress with internal stakeholders to achieve deliverables.
    Build closely collaborates with customer engineering department.
    Organize trainings and Techdays to distributors.
    Understands customer application and pain points as well as captures customer requirements and competitive landscape
    Performs Voice of the Customer and communicates impact to internal stakeholders.

What your background should look like

    Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in one of the following academic disciplines mechanics, electrics, electronics or similar relevant. 
    5+ years’ industry experience in engineering (required) and sales (would be an advantage), background from Automation would be preferred.
    Prefer to have the knowledge of Datacenter power supply architecture and technical requirements to connector.
    Prefer to make basic technical solution(eg. draft drawings) to customers.
    General business acumen and strong customer management skills.
    Self-motivated with a passion for serving and helping customers.
    Open minded, think outside of the box.
