Job Overview:

Lead and manage a socket product family which highly engaged with key players in the server, AI, and networking focus on clouding computing. Is responsible for design-win for what targeted, the product family profitability, and the product family lifecycle from planning to tactical execution.
This position cooperates with all functions of the company including but not limited to R&D, Sales, Manufacturing & Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Strategy.

What you will be doing:

Drive the full P&L – New Product Development

  • Deliver growth above market through strong NPI (New Product Introduction) and share gain execution
  • Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements with the right cost
  • Drives the right design with the right cost and optimized investment
  • Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects
  • Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
  • Be able to negotiate and offer a reasonable NRE and customer quote in-time
  • Partners with the sales organization and drives empowerment that win the max/best share and responsiveness while jointly defining GTM (Go To Market) strategies
  • Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
  • Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP
  • Exercise thought leadership

Drive the full P&L – Post Launch Product Development

  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio
  • Drives YoY gross margin expansion by developing and executing robust pricing strategies and driving operational productivity including cost reduction
  • Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
  • Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition
  • Deliver sustained profitable growth
  • Manage special price requests
  • Establish and develop close relationships and intimacy with key customers
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps

Market Sensing and Strategy Development

  • Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals
  • Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies including competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Define segment –specific value propositions that beat the competition
  • Develop product roadmaps that aligns with business strategy and market needs
  • Manage the product lifecycle and outlines a clear portfolio strategy for the assigned product family that positions to deliver strong financial results

What your background should look like:

  • Previous experience in Product Management, Field Application Engineering, or Business Development preferred
  • Considerable experience working in server, data center, cloud computing, networking, or branding connector industries
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence/direct cross-functional teams located at international sites
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong customer-facing skills – building relationships, negotiations, and selling
  • Strong business acumen and a good technical aptitude
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Proven ability to deliver results
  • Strong leadership skills

Nice to have:

  • MBA
  • Experience in the field of Electrical Connectors or Components is a plus
  • Deep and broad knowledge of the TE’s technology and product portfolio and the markets/customer TE serves, or ability to learn
