Transportation Specialist (Import/Export)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Traffic Administration Teams are responsible for the coordination and consolidation of domestic and international systems to support shipments. They ensure lowest cost transportation is used by analyzing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods, and auditing carrier costs and performance. They also interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organizing global shipments using appropriate modes of transport, shipping document handling (Transport waybill, dangerous goods declarations, etc.)
  • Cooperating with the customs agency to deliver all necessary documents for import/export (certificates of origin, Export/Import declaration),
  • Legalizing commercial documentation and working with letters of credit,
  • Driving continuous processes improvement and tools development, documenting issues and creating action plans
  • Analyzing data, preparing presentations and being responsible for highlighting gaps as well as recommending solutions and influencing decisions
  • Being first point of contact for customers, answering their questions, handling complains and proposing the best solutions
  • Identifying possible delays in import/export processes
  • Setting own priorities and monitoring KPIs

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport or Logistics or at least 4 years of experience in similar position gained from manufacturing company,
  • Very good knowledge of English and Polish (at least B2 level)
  • Experience in all transport branches: air, sea and land
  • Knowledge of customs law, free trade agreements, transport market offers as well as knowledge of material flows and the supply chain
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office, experience in ERP systems (SAP) would be an advantage,
  • Ability to work under pressure of time, search for answers and solve problems,
  • Customer-orientated person with very good communication skills, able to work in a team as well as independently, eager to share knowledge
  • Responsibility, proactive, result-oriented and flexible
