Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The production planner has a key role. Based on the demand, he is responsible to guarantee that all necessary materials and production capacity will be available to serve our customers on time and at the lowest cost.

He / She is also responsible to daily schedule internal production and external supply taking into consideration all constraints: customer service improvement, inventory reduction, cost reduction.

 

Responsibilities

Schedule and release production orders

Follow execution of the production plan and take corrective actions in case of deviation

Analyze demand versus capacity for the assigned product lines and propose load levelling
when necessary

Confirm delivery date to customers, considering capacity and availability of material

Cooperation with customer service representative in relation to assigned product groups

Release purchase orders to external vendors

Follow delivery plan from vendors and take corrective actions in case of deviation

Define and implement the inventory strategy and level required to achieve the targets in
Service level, Turn, obsolete stock

Anticipate stock outs

Responsible to implement the corrective actions needed to achieve Service Level, Turn

Responsible to review and define key MRP settings (safety stock, minimum order quantity, Replenishment Lead Time)

Responsible to optimize the supply chain for the product lines under his / her responsibility

Collaborate with Sales on the activities related to reduction of slow moving inventory (SMI)

Responsibility for the Interco forecast process and performance measurement (KPI)

Responsibility for performance monitoring and alerting

Documentation of existing and new processes

Drive continuous improvement on the key processes he / she is responsible for

Active participation / coordination of various internal projects
 
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge
 

University degree

Min 3 year experience in a similar position in Supply Chain processes and tools

Industry background

Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems

Good understanding of all operations related with business processes and their interaction

Independent but team worker, good communication skills, customer oriented

Demonstrated problem solving skills under time pressure, highly motivated and enthusiastic

Fluent Polish and English (verbally and in writing); German would be an advantage

SAP knowledge
